Well we did see the people in the bronco again becase we had to go back to Batopilas again and spend the night . Not a bad place to have to go back to. But inthe morning we left me and John to Durango then on to Mazatlan Dan headed back home I am sure he could tell you of his little adventure himself.

Now this guy is my hero his name is Scott and we met him when we first got into Batopilas, he had just crossed the river himself and told us how deep it was but we just had to see for ourselves. This guy however crossed the river with water up to his chest carrying his bicycle over his head then returning for his other stuff in freezing cold water. If you’ll notice he carries a minimal amount of equipment yet is camping out when need be or just staying with the locals. |

Quess I should of stoped and said a prayer for better weather because when we hit mex 22 at Samachique it started to snow and get cold. But we made it as far as Guachochi and their the police closed the road because of snow, the guy at the hotel said he had never seen it this bad in his forty years.

Batopilas to Choix
Quote:
Nice update !!,just being so close to Tubares, the Rio de abajo ( Urique Rio ), as the photos show, to risky to attempt to cross !!There is another option: back up to Creel--Divisadero--San Rafael--Cuiteco--Bahuichivo--Cerocahui--Mesa de Arturo--Piedras Verdes--Tubares. At this point only bridge to cross the Urique-Batopilas-Siforosa and after that a well maintained gravel road to Choix.
