Thanks for a great report. Glad you were ok after the header over the bars. All the gear...makes all the difference. You broke a rule, but you never broke any bones. Sometimes you get lucky. That's where a Xenon headlight from Touratech may have saved you in that type of emergency where one gets 'caught' in the dark.

And sheesh...tell your Africa Twin buddy to put some crashbars on that purty bike.

Beautiful scenery and incredible adventure....I have to pass this on to my cousin, he has visited Morrocco 15+ times and has regailed me with many fascinating stories, while sipping mint tea after a nice Tajine.

yep, I plan to change my stock lights for HID. we'll see if that's enough.

so, back to my report.

we now are @ Boulmane, it's around 18:00 and we still need to be @ Marrakesh airport by 22:00.
so, no more piste, only road and speed....

we arrived @ the Hotel Ibis in Marrakesh like 1/2 a hour before 22:00.
time to shave, shower and change of clothes.
funny part here is it was christian who talked with the frontdesk guy on arrival.
15mns later, we were ready to grab the ladies and back to the frontdesk.
the guy didnt recognize us
