I'm traveling 470 miles on the CBR250R next Thursday for tent camping at AMA vintage days to ride with Craig Vetter's merry band of streamliners. One group is leaving northern California for Ohio on their modified Ninja250s this Friday the 13th.

Mrs. Trip and I rode our TW200's out to western Connecticut on the 5th, and camped at American Legion State Forest

Friday, after a late start, we rode from Winstead, Ct north following the Trans Mass Trail. a mostly dirt road route up to Greenfield, Mass.

Got an earlier start on Saturday, and rode the beginning of the Puppy Dog Route, a similar ride that runs the length of Vermont.

We made it as far as Brattleboro, VT before we started to run short of time. There are only a few places to cross the Connecticut river, so we crossed there into New Hampshire, headed southeast back into Massachusetts, across the center of the state, into northeastern Connecticut before returning to Rhode Island. We covered 184 miles that day and hit 5 of the 6 New England states!

I did a 400 mile day ride from South Jersey up to the Pocono's in PA on my TU250.
It would be fun to make it a few days and camp and ride, but I did not have the time, the wife demanded my attention...

The ride took me about 8.5 hours as I took 32 and 611 up along the river, nice road, nice sights, but slow in spots...

I'll be meeting some ATVers mid trip at the hotel next to the bridge at noon on the 20th.

Read about some trails closed to bikes up that way... I just may need a tour from a local, then meet up with the boys at camp for the night.

I'll PM ya this weekend, when I figure out for sure where they're heading from there.

The first one is the South Denmark Road Bridge built in 1895.

Next is the Netcher Road Bridge built in 1999 …This is a modern bridge built using an “Ohio Timber Grant”.

Next is the Smolen-Golf Bridge. This bridge is another modern bridge built in 2008. It is the longest covered bridge in the USA at 613 feet long and stands 93 feet above the Ashtabula River and has a clear width of 30 feet.

Next is the Doyle Road Bridge built in 1868.

The next one is the Harpersfield Bridge built in 1868. In 1913 part of the bridge was washed away so a new steel section was built onto the North end.

Here is the Mechanicsville Bridge built in 1867.

Last but not least here is the Riverdale Road Bridge built in 1874. It had a steal brace added in 1945 for strength.

Great photos! If I ever make it up that way I'll make a point of following your trek.

A friend just turned me on to this site. Been lurking on the NX250 postings.

Thought I’d put my 2 cents in. Check out my NX250 page. http://www.powers31.info/nx250.htm

Fear not...

For my friend and I will soon be taking our 250's on a 1200 mile trip along the TET. He will be riding in back of me with his GoPro. My job is to ride in front thus illustrating what line he should not take.

I'm heading north next week on the mighty XT250 to wander Idaho forest roads for 11 days and visit a couple friends. I'll cover around 2000 miles. Hopefully this rain will put the fires down. As of last week there were six different fires along my route. -al

Do you mean TAT, or is there another trail named TET?

I hope you'll post a ride report and link to it from this thread?

Check out my ride report in my sig line, we have been riding since Memorial Day weekend and just went over 5,000 miles. We are in MS right now doing the TAT to OR. Wife is on a 2007 XT225. Pre-trip planning thread link also in sig line tells about the bikes and gear. I'm on a DR650, but my other dual sport is a 99 KLR250. I have a soft spot for the little bikes, but I needed the magic button for this trip, too hard to kickstart with luggage!

Tet

As in Trans Eastern Trail. An inmate here has developed the route and posted it on ADV.
