Two guys show us the road to the only one guesthouse of the town, in fact there are some small cottages, not really Moroccan typical, but with electricity and with small electrical heaters. It's perfect and enough for today

Monday 20th October Debdou Talsinnt 250 Km

Wake up early, all clothes are dry, we pack the luggage. Itís windy and cold but it is not raining.
The todayís stage will bring us to an high plateau, Le plateau du Rekkam ( around 1600m)
We have enough money to pay the night and thatís it, in addition we didnít fill in the bike, we are not yet in the trip.
We go back to the town, there is no gas station and all stores are closed. We found a guy and ask for gas, he explains us there is only smuggled gas, coming from Algeria, he negotiates for us with the grocer who agrees to change 50Ä for a reasonable rate

The problem is not the level of water but the strength of the flood and the risk of having a deep hole hidden with muddy water.
Itís 2 PM, we decide to take a break and picnic, waiting to see if the water level decrease. Almost one hour later the level has decreased, firstly we try on foot, itís ok, go

We donít ride a lot, in fact the track and the river pass each over. There the ford built with concrete is totally broken and not passable. After a while we find a passage upstream. We go a head

Following the next curve, once again a broken ford. Upstream no way, downstream no way visible.
We climb along the river with the bikes, itís become very hard and it starts to rain, finally we decide to return and we find a way to cross not so far from the ford.
We cross an other ford without problem, and finally we leave this f... area, good.

The track is not really difficult but really muddy and slippery. We get less stressed, my GPS indicate that we are close to Anoual.
About fifteen km later a Moroccan guy in the middle of the track, stops me, what does he want ?.

An other flooded ford, shit........
A group of nomads are waiting there, they show us the level maximum of the water they saw, at least 2 m high, I think they are there since a long time. But now the level is not really high but the current is heavy, they prevent us from crossing

Some times one guy try to cross, but give up rapidly. We try to discuss but nobody speak French. Itís 5 PM, three hours to ride 20 km, it will get dark at 6 PM.
Well we donít have tent just a sleeping bag, a thunderstorm is coming, mud everywhere, it sounds good.
After a long time, two guys succeed to cross. We try together, on foot first itís ok we go.

Now, itís dark, the storm is above us, the lightnings light the track at time .We ride side by side, the track is muddy slippery, thanks to the GPS we succeed to stay on the track, Anoual and the paved road are not so far, but Iím afraid to cross an other ford.
Finally we reach Anoual. But there is no option to sleep, eat, fill in the bikes. We have to go to Talsinnt, 40 km of paved road in the dark and under the storm, fine. Letís go.
After a while, looking behind, I donít see any light. I turn back and find Patrick stoped on the edge of the road, His bike ran off, It seems due to the gas, we dismantle pipes, gas is flooding, everything seems to be ok, Patrick kick on the bike and the engine starts, ok let's go.

Patrick is heading, when suddenly his bike stops once again, we dismantle the pipes and so on when Patrick say, f.., I let the tap turned off.

One hour after leaving Anoual, we see the lights of Talsinnt, meawhile the rain stops, we feel less cold suddenly.

We pass through the town, A guy stop Patrick in front of a bar, I go ahead to the gas station. Patrick comes to me saying we can sleep and eat in the bar and more we can have a hot shower, yyyyesss.
We fill the bikes, he asks, itís enough for me, the station will be there tomorrow, I want a shower.
Big mistake.

When getting out the luggage, suddenly the electricity shut down, itís dark
