September Events

Bump for September events.

I would guess that after all the devastation in that area that the Thielman Trail Ride will be cancelled. I think they will announce the final decision later this week.

On the one hand, damn, I bet you are right. I passed on the spring ride in favor of GR3, figuring that I would have no problem skipping the Dells again in favor of the fall ride. On the other, it sure helps clear up the calendar.

I'll be at the Dells rally starting tomorrow night. Look for the really dirty black street bike.

Great thread.

Quote from their web site:

The Fall Trail Ride for 2007 has been canceled due to the recent rain that has hammered the region. The main bridge is out of commission and the trails are in very poor condition. We spoke with the MN DNR and we agreed that holding the trail ride would not be the responsible thing to do in light of our responsibilities as the care takers of this great trail system. We do everything in our power to set up a great trail ride, and this action will hopefully further our abilities to ride this area for years to come. We do appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to seeing you at our next event.

October 14th is the Madison Motorcycle Club Fall Color Tour poker run. Starts at the Mexicali Rose on Atlas Avenue in Madison, and will end up in Waupun this year. Sign up starts at 9:30, last bike out at 10:30. Some folks will be at the Cottage Cafe on Cottage Grove Rd. at 8am for a pre-ride carbo load.

And --The Kettle Moraine dual sport ride near West Bend, WI is coming up quickly!
Sunday, Oct 21st is the date, and they will cap the number of riders at 125 this year, so go to the Kettle Moraine Sport Riders website and get the info and registration form!

2008 Ride for Research?

Say, what are the dates for the spring ride? Oddly enough, the Safari hotel called my dad to ask...

The spring Ride For Research in Wonderful Wabeno will be May 31st and June 1st, 2008.

We will be drawing the winning ticket for the DRZ400s (which we are currently raffling off - buy a ticket!) on Saturday night, 5/31.

The Safari Motel told one guy who wanted to book a room way ahead that they couldn't, because they hadn't gotten their free 2008 calendars from the local bank yet!! Gotta love a town like that!

as soon as our lazy assed club president cons someone into printing up new registration forms and post them to the web or sends them out.
