Thanks wachs. Nice shot as well. I think it has something to do with excess horsepower going to the riders small brain.

Thanks Ali G. I seemed to be racing from one photo shoot to the next.

Not that it was a race or anything like that.
Would have liked to have been able to kick back for a while in some of those higher areas and take in the view. But that damned roll book wouldn't go away.

Just got back from New Zealand. We took a road tour with www.Gotournz.com. Had a great time and Ian Fitzwater shows the S.I. ......amazing. I wish at times I could have been on my KLR off road, but we saw plenty staying on the chip seal. Some pictures of our first few days at www.nzriders.com. Mark is still posting pictures of our twelve days tour.

Hi racer. Just had a look at the photos. Makes me want to jump on the bike and go for a ride up the west coast. Glad you had good weather and great scenery for your trip.

How did you get back so early on the last day. I didn't get in until 7.45pm after dropping the HP twice and getting really lost up on the hills above the Nevis Road and yes that is snow below. I thought this was one of the hardest part of the ride getting up to the top and seeing the Nevis Road way down below and this was at 6pm. The turns where very tight.

The Safari would have to rate as one of the best rides of my life. First one i have been on. Saving for next year already. Beats the pants off all the road rides i have done as well. My mate on the KTM990 was riding the best he ever had too. New, expensive bike and all that i think.

Hi kiwiAdventure.

We got back early due to missing the optional hard sections after seeing the Kingston Flyer. Just straight along the road to the Nevis dirt road. Missed the Carricktown track as well. SPSDUC wansn't keen on doing it. We both had ridden more hard stuff than we thought we would during the weekend so we were happy just to hightail it back to Cromwell.

I do remember seeing (passing and getting passed

) by a blue Dakar. They actually get along alright. Wish i had a bit of a fairing for the easy stretches like the Dakar has.

Yeah that clover was a shit, especially on Sunday afternoon in the rain.

That last photo is a goody. Makes you think you have just come down from the mountains.
