Beaded Seat Cover: I'm full of shit!??

I got a chance to put my beaded seat cover on the Adventure a few days ago for a 4 hour ride.

My ass was KILLING me!

The damn cover is fine on the LT seat.

But something about the Adventure seat and riding position for me makes the beaded seat cover intolerable. So I'll put the thing back on the LT.

...and start looking at the sheepskin options for the Adventure.

The "YMMV" rule always applies in things motorcycle because of the indvidualized nature of comfort in this pursuit, but gawd...I have had nothing but praise for beaded seat covers BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH OTHER BIKES. I couldn't have been more wrong about them when it comes to my own ass and the Adventure seat.

Lesson learned. I'll be more careful about my unabashed praise of ANY product.

i will praise the airhawk

the airhawk seat cover is so nice i want to start using it daily.
it only takes me a few minutes to tie it on , but i don't bother.
i guess i need to give myself a little time each day to set up radar and seat is a shame i hardly ever get to use these items i like so much and took so long to discover.
Then I headed over to where my girlfriend works. Greg, the boss, followed us outside and kept trying to tell me about how he went to Las Vegas one time on a motocycle. I was like, "oh-kay, that's great Greg."

Just back from Prudhoe Bay, IMO it was really worth the trip, AK is a beautiful place & you need lots of time to take it all in. I'm looking forward to returning & exploring some places i didn't have time to ride.RIP Ron Melton

Bad news that. I just destroyed a beaded seat cover that I got at a garage sale, and knit one for my GS using 50lb monofilament and nomex lace. We'll see how it goes.... Next stop - Airhawk...
