Help plz... Anybody fitted an Acerbis tank to a WR450 before?
I'm having a slight issue regarding the fitment of the lower section of the tank. Can anybody maybe help with some advice please?
Sorry for the re-direct, I posted the same question posted under the WR540 thread on the Wilddogs forum as well: http://www.wilddog.za.net/forum/index.php?topic=94268.msg2106248#new Thx |

I had a glance at your pictures on the other board.
Did you buy the tank used? With my new Acerbis tank, included were small aluminum extension tabs that connect from the stock rad to the nutserts on the Acerbis tank. These should be easy to fabricate, or order up from Acerbis.

Like the above poster said, there should be two small brackets. All they are is 1in wide, by about 2.5 long with a 45 or so degree bend, very easy to make.

make sure you use loc-tite where you attach the bracket to the radiator. it will vibrate loose if not.
if/when you make your brackets make sure the steel (or whatever you choose) is strong enough to handle the vibes as well laramie

Awesome, thanks for the help guys, much appreciated
![]() Yes, I bought the tank second-hand from a guy that was selling is WR and trying to recuperate costs on the extras he had added. If possible, a pic of the support bracket would help so I can fabricate something similar. |

Heres some pictures, the factory ones use a rubber garment, not sure if you need them or not.
