Friday morning 10 riders met in Coahella, CA for the "Freeway Loop" ride that jonz had been telling us about

A couple photos to whet your appetite

That's a photo of me missing a shift at the worst possible moment on one of the short technical climbs typical of this loop.

Below is perhaps the hardest technical move of the ride near the easternmost end of the loop

This was one challenge that FlyinGo!!!!! simply could not resist

His KTM 950 contrasted nicely with some of the other bikes along for the ride

We followed the path of the freeway, going up and down many sandy and rocky hills...

...even crossing under the freeway a couple of times

This shot shows the general path of the route for the first 15 miles

There was plenty of carnage to go around

But the 950 put many of us to shame

At the halfway mark in this 30 mile loop, some of us were feeling out of our comfort zone...
here's a shot of the sorry six of us who chose to bail before the hardest parts of the ride

I don't think they took many pics on the return portion of the loop, but maybe jonz, inte & FlyinGo!!!!! can elaborate a bit on what happened during the rest of the ride...

I'm gonna pause there for a day to give the other guys a chance to catch up. I know for a fact that inte took a few pics of the nine-fiddy tearing it up during the Friday loop ride, hopefully he'll have time to post today.

Looks like a fun ride. I regret not making it but at least you had rider(s) to make up for my certain carnage.
