HPN gears for airhead?

Where do I get the 1st and 5th gears made by HPN? My tranny is getting torn down, and I'm thinking of doing some changes, "while I'm in there", if you know what I mean.

R-dubb posted something about the HPN gears, I think he said the taller 5th is good but the lower first is on 5% lower or something...always

Google "Siebenrock." I think they have what you're looking for.

I got mine form Wudo in Germany.
Forget the 1st....it's too low and more of a bitch to instal. The 5th is sweet. Try CAL BMW....see if Paul Weiss can order it for you...but don't tell him I sent you!
Cheers,
Jorge

Yup, 1st is big waste of time and money, IMHO. Not really too low, but 5% on the low end doesn't do shit. Picture it this way. Instead of creeping at 10mph you can do it at 9.5. Get my drift. Besides, I'm concerned that the amount of force required to press that baby off the intermediate shaft is potentially destructive. Getting the new one on ain't no picnic. If you fuck up the shaft, you're looking at over $500 for a new one.

The taller 5th is magic. Easy to install. Meshes perfectly with a 6 or 7k shift out of 4th. If the bike is tuned for power you can still take 5th all the way to red-line at about 115mph. That's fast enough for me....

The service at Siebenrock ROCKS. Door to door in less than two weeks. That's where I'd go. I found mine stateside, but they are no longer available.

cheers to you my friend!

I got mine from Boxerworks both lower 1st and higher 5th. Boxerworks is also a dealer for HPN in the US.

Hpn

I went ahead and did the 1st and the 5th along with the circlip. It figured it was going to be open anyways.

My very rough, non-scientific calculations figure about 500RPM lower at highway cruising speeds of about 75-80 with the 5th gear. What are you other guys experiencing?

I have gotten a few sets from HPN direct, even with the exchange and shipping they are a little cheaper.

I know that Nathan at boxerworks STILL has some on the shelf.

Another thread on where to get the gears here.

Yep that's what I'm seeing with the 5th as well...500 RPM lower at Hwy cruising speed. The motor is just "happier".
Cheers,
Jorge
