Nice pics, looks like alot of history and cool exploring to do in LA. How far can you actually go without hitting asphalt?

As Scott mentioned I think the trail is purdy awesome. Being a street bike convert i haven't had much dual sporting experience prior to the trail, but regardless it's a good time. It's amazing what you can find if you'll just go out and look for it. He has integrated a lot of different terrain (unintentional I'm sure

) Personally, I think that makes for a better ride.

We need to get some more people out there on it. There has to be some more folks out there looking for a good ride. Come on and hit the L.O.T. I can vouch for having a good time.

I'm learning a lot out there on the trail. This weekends lesson...
Don't try to hit a mud hole as fast and hard as Scott does, even if he makes it look easy!

My thoughts exactly. I was beginning to think the new "teacher adam" wasn't a biker anymore.

2200 Transalp miles in the last month. What's your count?

Jeff and I did some gravel ripping mud slogging around on Bodcau last weekend, and we had a buddy with a GSXR 600 come up from NOLA this weekend, so we had to stick to the pavement, we did hit some of the old oil-top though. I just haven't done exploring on the northern portion yet.

Have I mentioned how good it feels to outrun a dude on a GSXR through the asphalt twisties with a Transalp on worn out Mefo's?

(he had an unfair advantage in the straights though)

Man, I moved from Leesville, LA in 1986 and I have missed only a few things. The people and the riding. The only riding I did back then was on a Honda Big Red Three Wheeler. I am still riding in Colorado but now on two wheels. Thanks for the pics and memories.

Actually, the $20 is for the hiking trail
