What's up with the BMW Airflow jacket?

Based on very good experience with the BMW Airflow pants, I got an Airflow jacket. But the elbow pads cover my forearms, not my elbows! They are way too low and not adjustable.
Anybody else had this problem? Do I have freak arms?

I think there are adjustment velcro strips in the pocket of the elbow guards that can adjust the pads up an inch or so. They could be more easily adjustable for sure, though.
