Its an adventure bike, not a latte-set wank machine, who cares how it looks! Do what you have to to get it to ride the way you like. That screen is going to transform your comfort levels on the highway, looking good won't help at all.

P.S. the screen looks fine!

It doesn't look to bad. It would be nice if you could glue it on or figure out some other way to mount it so that you cant see the bolts.

Looks like a Rallye fairing. I like it!

Wish there was something like this to go with the Aqualine...

The more I think about it.....

I am convinced we need a Rallye style fairing for the DR to fit into the IMS tank, made out of fiberglass and with some different modern lights in it.

I can see it now a DR with panier racks, MPE suspension TK pipe, needle jet in the carby dyno tuned and a Rallye fairing with a cockpit / ram mounts for GPS and power outlet...

Looks a bit like a solid version of the screens for bikes job. Just fitted one of them and it increased the comfort to levels where an IMS tankfull was no problem at one sitting (340ks+). It did flap about a bit so I used some bunnings 3mm alloy strap to make a support bracket which attached to the handguard mounts and now shes rock steady. this made it a little quieter too. It just follows the conture of the origional shroud with a couple of blobs of rtv to attach it.

Screens for bikes

Yep plodalong it does kind of look the same.. though the Screens for bikes one is much more refined, I would love to get a mould and heat shape my own out of Plastic or perspex.... i have not lashed out on the screens for bikes one as I am bound to crack it on some of my rides..

Anyone got the heads up on how or what you could make a mould / jig to make these??

Can anyone tell me if the rear footpeg mounts are the same for all post 2000 DR's the section that the footpeg mounts to, not the frame. Locky.
