no ... just the standard 6" x 2" pine block seat, and the drink bottle size "racing" tank. Oiler .... no Scott didn't say anything about an oiler .. ???

I rode a stock seated DR from Wellington to Picton and couldn't really see what the fuss was all about. Picton to Nelson however (Queen Charlotte Drive) and I found out...

Yeah even riding from Wellington / Picton / return ... would be JUST tolerable on the stock DR seat .. although that journey can have some rather big bumps in it ... and ... after all the Picton to Nelson QC road, has quite a few more twists and turns to negotiate ... getting a sore butt on that leg of the ride ..... is really not that surprising .....

OK, we need help.

I have td42dan's DR here with no spark.

We have the DR workshop manual and have gone through all their checks. I have even swapped out the CDI and coil from my DR and still no spark.

We have battery voltage at the cdi. The power source coil and pick up coil check out OK. I disconnected and bridged the side stand switch and clutch switch to eliminate them.

Any other ideas?

I am starting to lean towards a damaged loom but we can't see any obvious damage.

We need help soon before we get too drunk......

Does anybody know how to check the pickup coil to see if it is pulsing when the motor is turned over? i have tried on my bike but can't get a pulse even with my motor running. Maybe my multimeter isn't sensitive enough to pick up the pulses????
