Yeah, ok. That's fair enough. Didn't see that. My bad! In reality though, if someone gave me a hundred bucks for mine id be stoked. Its only that im a hoarder that i havent dumped it. (along with the exhaust, 2 road tyres, my first attempt at a homemade rack and all my left over chains and sprockets)
Cheers

I keep all the stock bits so if I get my bike stickered I can put it back to stock when it goes over the pits. Only to farkle it up again when I get home. Its just a game.

You must have forgot that you are riding a DR650. should not require any spares or parts for such a small trip.

Very true

They are very reliable but if water crossings are encountered...
may be a spare bearing for the cush drive hub and a couple of spare wheel bearings just in case, a spare 2 litres of oil and a couple of scrunched up oiled filters in plastic bags

thanks for the confidence vote.

If you read my post, I HAVE to put prices, and the only price I could find was one on EBay for around $400 bare, no cap, tap or anything. So I put a price below that. Now that I know the price is unreasonable, i'll change it.

Again, if anyone needs these parts, send me a PM. happy to negotiate on price, happy to hear input on realistic prices

Pete

Ok I got my new 2012 DR650 this morning this is my second now over the last few years. I don't remember the old 2006 DR being so quiet, this one sounds like an electric sowing machine. I think I will make it a bit loader with a change of pipe.

What is out there that makes a little more noise but doesn't need a change jets in the carb. My last one had a slip on that I got second hand but I don't remember the brand. That one worked well without any mods apart from the airbox.

And yes I know there are heaps of threads on this issue but I am lazy

Get the Barrett, sounds really good, plenty of power gain, just raise the needle by dropping the clip one notch and remove the snorkel.
