Got another 1,000km from this one...
.........I prefer some ''traction'' when I ride.

That tyre would have more traction on hard terrain than most new knobby tyres.

Do you ride a lot of mud and sand?

What tyre do you run.

Yep. In hardpack and rocks, I'd stack that worn tyre at 18psi up against almost anything else out there.

Problem was, we were up in wet clay and rocks the day I took that photo

Hence the gouges in the tread...

... the XR is the greatest off road motorcycle ever constructed. There's nothing it can't do, hasn't won or will not outperform.

cheers all :)
I'll wait and see how it behaves once the exhaust is on ... I'm just "snorkle out" at the mo and that's probably how it will stay so there's at least a chance there'll be enough adjuatment available in the standard parts.

I'll let youse know :)

Axle Spanners

Hi, just put this in the wanted to buy section but I may as well put it here too, my second hand DR came with no tool kit, no great loss, i replaced it with better quality stuff, but I wouldn't mind a 22mm and 24mm Axle spanner with the tubular extension piece. If anyone has these and want's to get rid of them please let me know.

Cheers
Graeme

Get a couple of Motion Pro ring spanner/tyre levers. I trim the spoon end a bit to my preferred pointier shape and they work well, and light too. $exxy maybe, but good. Don't need the extension when you have a foot.
