Its hours, so when no signal is received for the rpm, it displays running hours. Cant recall whether its decimal hours, or if it ticks over at .6. Decimals don't really matter anyway.

Unc, you havent got time to be looking at no tacho,rev it till it misses,change gear, repeat as necessary!

Well I went down to the letterbox and a short blurt up the highway and home...so about 12 mins or 2 tenths of an hour seems about right for hour reading ...

idle revs are about 600...??..

My DR has 2 spark plugs..I'll attach it to the other plug and see what happens..the tacho doesn't have any switches.....

Looks like you were sent the 2-stroke version.
They sell 2 and 4 stroke ones.

Wow a 2 stroke dr650, I thought they where just a myth.

Hang on to that one uncle I reckon it will be worth a bob or two in a few years.

But don't we have a waste spark on the DR650 like almost all bikes? In which case, 2 and 4 stroke are the same.
