DS Party to support COHVCO ?

As many of you know for the past 3 or 4 years I have held a Spring Cabin Party on my place up Golden Gate Canyon. I gotta admit after my recent (unfair) banning here I felt like saying fuck it but I realize this is the wrong thing to do since most of you had nothing to do with that decision.

So instead of canning the whole idea I have been thinking...
The next party I throw (maybe) will not only be for FUN and Dual Sport Comraderie but also to support a cause and sport I feel strongly about:

Protection of our right to ride OHVs on public lands.

With that in mind I want to ask if you would support this idea by coming to a party and pitching in say $10 or $20 per head which would be donated to COHVCO ?

If Neduro, Terry Mc, and Red Chili come they would have to pitch in double for all the grief they gave me. Big Dave would have to pitch in quadruple.

Any interest ? Esteban

PS
I think we should even hold other get togethers (like Woody's Pizza) on a regular basis with a similar fund raising theme in mind. Even if we only raise $50 or $100 at a time, I am sure COHVCO would be grateful.

Oh, and if you are anti-OHVs like some folks on ADV have shown themselves
to be - have your own Sierra Club fundraiser.

How can it be fun if there's not at least an outside chance of dying?

Steve, I'm a member of COHVCO and as always I'd be glad to come to your cabin to support that cause and see my friends (including yourself mi amigo).

On one condition, you've gotta keep your whining to a minimum. A public forum is, by nature, going to contain people you disagree with. If you can't get over that and learn to enjoy the other benefits, it's really a shame.

Let me know what I can bring.

When you were a child, did you used to play with real hand grenades and pull the pins just for fun?

Good cause Steve, I think I'll pass on the social engagement but keep on with the good work.

OooooooooooooooooNoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooo....

RUN AWAY! HIDE THE WOMEN AND CHILDREN....

YP-
Hand grenades are like riding a bike off a cliff. It's not the fall that kills you. It's the sudden decelleration.

May lay

Hi to all;

This local lurker wants to be a part of this (May lay) spring cabin party and my $20 bucks say's I'm in!

Speaking of May lay's I think Rodney King said it best, "Why can't we all just get along?"

How do you like me so far?

I will not whine if others stop their whining too.
A lot of the whining here started due to people disagreeing about how to support the sport of riding motorcycles off road. I was not the only one doing what some call whining. Unfortunately many discussions on the internet become distorted and perceived the wrong way.

I think we all need to get together for a BIG GROUP HUG, beer, burgers, bikes and to contribute to a cause that many of us here support. The problem when you say "no whining" is it stifles discussion. So I suggest we can discuss whatever (even whining) as long as we support this common goal and let bygones be bygones.

Judging by the response thus far, I'll do my usual party in Spring and hopefully you will all support the new theme of it. Thanks,

Steve
