Spot 2 for $59.99 at Best Buy

Best Buy has the silver Spot 2 for only $59.99. I think it's a mistake since they have the list price at $99.99 with a $40 discount off that. But who am I to argue? Mine just shipped!

Hmmm.
None in stock in this area. Oh if I would have seen this two weeks ago.
But it raises another big question. What is the difference in the silver, at $59, and the orange, at $149 (less REI discount)?
I thought I really needed the orange. Do I? I leave for Mexico Saturday.

Nothing, I think they are trying to git rid of the silver ones. It doesn't look like an "emergency" device I guess.

Mine was shipped from Ohio if I recall (I live in Virginia), I ordered it on the 7th of March and it was delivered on the 13th. Can you have it shipped to an address on your way?

I've been lucky at west marine and they price matched at 49 and got the orange one. A friend tried a different store and they wouldn't do it.

I got mine from redwood cityCA store

I think I may see the difference. The gray or silver is a 'Messenger'. The orange, at the higher price is the "Tracker". I don't think they do the same thing.
I also saw tracking was one fee per year, and messaging was another fee per year (maybe 49 and 99).

Two different models. The Messenger comes in orange (most popular with ADV folks) and silver. The Tracker is a completely different model.

I am still trying to figure this out. Messaging costs 99 a month. Tracking is 49 a month.
But. Will both devices do either function? Or does one have only one function? Or what?

Prices are per year, not per month.

Both devices can do messaging and tracking.
