I may be working on an 84 R100RS soon and have lost all my good links to parts for Air Heads. Any suggestions.

I thought I remembered that Bob's carried a lot of air head stuff but that does not seem to be the case any more ??

i will need little things like foot peg rubbers, shifter rubber, petcocks, touch up paint, etc.

Marc

Airhead Parts Sources

Bob's still carries lots of Airhead parts. Also try A&S cycles , Capitol Cycle (http://www.capitalcycle.com/), Motobins (http://www.motobins.co.uk/), Hucky's spare parts (http://www.bmwhucky.com/).

You could also check out the Airheads.org links page.

Airhead Parts Resources

I've been using http://www.eurotechmotorsports.com for years, and I just discovered http://www.northwoodsairheads.com/ by making an ebay part purchase. I've used both to find parts for my 1974 R90/6, but I noticed they offer many parts for many different models and years.

When you order a set of piston rings for an Airhead, does the set come with rings for both cylinders?

I found a supplier who has Valeo D6RA15 starters for $150.00 CDN plus tax and shipping. I'm getting mine Tuesday morning and I'll report back.I know the local stealership is at least twice the price.

James Sherlock in England has genuine BMW rings for GBP16.50 per side, around $50- for both sides so the $60- a set could be confusing if you know that.

BMW 70's airhead tank rondels

Hi,

Somewhere on this site I saw a post where someone somewhere was selling these tank badges for $20 apiece. Now I can't find the post.

Any suggestions for a source for this or another type rondel I can use to complete my 1978 R80/7 tank refurb? Something that doesn't cost more than my $75 tank?

Thanks!
