Any suggestions for a source for this or another type rondel I can use to complete my 1978 R80/7 tank refurb? Something that doesn't cost more than my $75 tank?

Thanks!

From the link.
In May of 1972 BMW has established a special division called Motorsports GmbH often also called M-Technik to support drivers racing on BMW cars. A great part of BMW Motorsports history.

OK serious question for tomorrow's work day.

This is on my R100RS 1984

I ordered up a set of the fork boots (the rubber bellows like things that go over the forks) as the bike did not have them on it.

It does not look like these will go over the rubber cup that sits on top of the fork seal.

So if I put the boots on should I remove the cups ????? It looks like the boots were only for to 09/80 models but I have seen later models with them.

Should I NOT put the boots on and just put on new cups and felts ????

Should I have my head examined ????

I am planning on putting the front end back together tomorrow and really need to know.

I am so confused.

Thanks.

Marc

Yeah, take the cups off - its either /or between gaiters or the cups with the felts. But not both.

Thanks,

I left the cups and felt on as the boots really are for an 80 or earlier anyway.

Source for inline fuel filters

Hi,

I need to purchase a pair on inline fuel filters for my R100GS, and understand that a certain flow rate is required. Could anybody recommend a inline fuel filter for a R100GS and an online source to get them?

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Mane

I use these and have never had a fuel starvation problem.

I also need to find a place to order up a 058 luggage key for my 84 R100RS if anyone knows where I can get one.
