How hard was it fittin the 426 front end on? Much fabrication at all?

Im thinkin down the track of makin a R65 based Cafe Racer, with a more modern set of forks maybe?? usin similar dirt bike front end with shorter springs for reduced travel, but good dampenin....

Installing the 426 front end was one of the easier parts of the build. I only had to make up a spacer for the top of the tripple clamp and bolt it on!

R65 gs

Good morning,looks like I just bought the R65GS you mention here,I found it at a Harley shop in Anderson SC. I run a shop in Ga that specializes in air head BMWs I have had a lot of sorting out to do to get it back on the road, Rode it sat,and am still a way from being happy w.it, Would like to talk to you about it if you get a moment.
