Torque settings and crows feet?

There been several occasions in my destructive repairs in which it was impossible to put a socket of any kind on a bolt/nut to torque it. But just about every case I could have used a crows foot but have no idea what the loss or gain would be using one. Is it possible to do so? and does it change if the foot is off at the side or straight in line with the wrench

If'n I remember right, If it is at a 90 degree angle, no change. If it is anything other than that, ya need to have it in line; then, yur gonna love this, search and find the formula. I have it some place, just don't know where

tbirdsp is right. Spent some time in Uncle Sams Airlines fixing jet fighters. There is a formula for using crows feet. Should be something on the net somewhere.
