Good point always remove the mirrors when checking on buffeting issues, they make a big difference.

Installed Aprilia Tuono mirrors on mine expecting they would help with buffeting but I would say is the same as before. At least they look far far far better than oems

I pulled mine off and I really couldn't tell a difference. Doesn't matter, I'll still be switching to HDB mirrors on the hand guards when I get around to it on the priority list of farkles.

Hey Tim, what's your height and inside leg measurement ? It helps others to understand where your helmet is sitting and if the same fix might work for them.......

Thanks Tim. I'm 1.94m. I have the spoiler on top of the touring screen and KTM folding mirrors which I drop down as far as possible. I still get the buffets at speed . Glad you've sorted it for yourself though !

Hi Tim, thanks for the pictures. I've been thinking about getting a spoiler for the longer trips. I'm 1.80 as well. I'm between the Wunderlich and the Touratech. The TT looks nicer IMO, but the WL is more adjustable...

Choices, choices...

Wunderlich helped. I also noticed it added some stability to my front end and the 80 mph head shake faded almost completely.

If you are 5'10" to 6' mirrors are not the issue, just cut the stock screen down if you want a dirt bike feel or get a touring screen if you want a tourer.

You're right about the mirrors.
I'm 6' and ride with a tall Renazco seat. I already tried the touring screen (sucks), Yellow pig cutdown screen (works, but not for long travels), no screen (same as before), the ricardo and super ricardo mods (they work up to certain speed) ... and I gave up. Nothing worked for me and I guess I'm not the only one, that's why this thread is so long

I'm 6'4" with 36" inseam, long extremities. Cutdown screen helped a lot but turbulence was never quite gone. Yesterday I tried removing the mirrors and riding about a bit, having read about that on the boards here, and only at 100mph+ did ANY turbulence become apparent.

So, guess I'm going for HDB guards too :p
