If I stand up, nice clean air.

Have you eliminated the bill of your helmet being too floppy? That's the cheapest place to start. I did that after spending $$ on an Aeroflow and time cutting down my oem. Now I can ride with any configuration and conditions without my head/eyes rattling.

I was talking about riding with a street helmet. Riding with my MX helmet and goggles on the freeway was way worse for sure, but my bill wasn't floppy. It was simply louder and the way air was moving over the windshield was really wearing out my neck. This was on a 200 mile day, just for reference.

That looks very promising. I sure hope you can get it without needing to change the light also. I'm afraid to ask what the full package will cost.

Cool2 Laminar Lip

Has anyone tried a Laminar Lip on the standard screen .
I did try one on a KTM 640 Adventure and they sort of work on them , they just needed to be a little longer and a little wider .
Apart from that it wasn't to bad.

Great ride today and no need for Aleve! Added a Wunderlich deflector for some highway testing and it seems to do the trick (so far). Regular windscreen has always caused residual (cervical injury) pain at passing speed. 6'2", Renazco, Doubletake, FX-39. Need some high mileage days for a full test.

I just installed an aeroflow screen (not the madstad one) and this seems like an ok place to report...

I got the Tall version and it's actually working really well. I'm about 6'4" tall, 33" inseam; 285lb. Long torso - former powerlifter, etc.

I've got a low seat concepts seat on the bike (went low after doing to s spec suspension), and the screen is still on the short side for me. As I sit normally, the screen covers about 1 car length of my vision in front of my wheel, and past that I'm looking over the screen. So really it could be an inch higher I'd say and I'd still be fine.

Even though it's a little short though, it works really great. The very top crown of my helmet is in some slightly turbulent air at high speed which puts a slight vibration on my helmet, but there is no major buffeting, and it's night and day better than when running with just the stock screen, which has always buffeted me pretty brutally.

Anyway, I think it's a pretty sweet design the way it works in conjunction with the stock screen to channel air up and over. I'll be sticking with it!

My windscreen solution:

I was thinking about getting the Arai XD-4, but many report that it buffets with the stock screen. I was going to spend about $530 on the helmet and then another $120 on the Raid Rally screen to hopefully get to a reasonable solution. Instead, I spent $169 on this helmet, and I'm totally happy.

I'm guessing that helmet has a lot of sound insulation? I like the air flow on my new FX-41, but there is nearly no sound insulation around the ears so it is a loud helmet even with ear plugs in.

I'd say average. I always ride with ear plugs. :)

I read somewhere on here where another rider said to try removing the mirrors or get different ones and try that. I got new mirrors the folding kind and it helped a lot. they set lower than the stock ones and when folded in I get noticeably smoother airflow around my helmet, im also 6'4. I have a little bit buffering but not much. maybe size has a lot effect on it.
