I was surfing around looking for gear possibilities, and noticed that on the Firstgear website, there's a KTM in the background of the Denali Jacket page. Anyone have any idea what screen is mounted? From the looks of it, it's tall enough to deflect most of the wind, and it appears to have some sort of ducting just above the speedo cluster. Does this screen look familiar to anyone? Any experiences?

The windshield in the picture looks like a Cee-Bailey KTM#!. Cee-Bailey has two model for the 950, one covers the headlight with flowing lines the other has a cut out for the headlight and is more anglular.

Thats the biggest screen that C/B makes. Whip has one on his bike and he just got done with a 4K trip last month, I am sure he could give you some good input on it.

another simple idea

I drilled four corner holes with a 1/16" drill bit, used a dremel with a cut off wheel to cut the naca duct, leaving the bottom attached. Heated slightly and pushed the duct in 1/2" and finished with some fine sand paper on the edge, works great and looks pretty factory. Picture is rough but gives you the idea.

That looks good. A pretty clean mod and it does look factory, like you said. Maybe I'll give that a whirl first- I like the cash-free option. If that doesn't do it, I'll start exploring other options.

had a go at this tonight

i took ricardos design and had a go the only real difference is that i also added another spacer on the bottom of the screen so i could slide a little something extra in. so instead of just two spacers there are 4 i had a piece of mesh lying around and i had seen the headlight protector on the touratech site and though i could get the best of both worlds

thaks ricky for the initial design without that i wouldnt of dreamed of the exta bit

I have one of those, and for highway use it sutes me far better than the original KTM. Even with my pretty high Renazco seat (I'm pretty happy with that....!) there's no problem getting out of the wind, and most of the turbulens, if I need to.

i tested it today and no real buffeting until 90-95 mph its not 100% perfect but with my arai tour x ( or xd in the us) it was a huge improvement and i got a headlight protector at the same time !!
just some painting to do and it will be done i think its gonna work ok no movement from the screen at speed and my ears are not ringing after 2 hours of riding (no plugs) ..
all pretty simple really and im pretty stoked with the results
cheers
