You don't know how close you might be. I put on a 1 1/2" taller seat for a week long trip VS the stock S seat. It made a huge difference in noise and buffeting.

I'm switching to a lower seat to help. I'm 5'10", 30" inseam and use a modified alien wind screen.

This thread has been a huge help to many folks. It's the out of the box thinking and tinkering that makes this place great. So, what's your issue? If you dig the piece of shit screen that comes on your bike, great ( I highly doubt it or you wouldn't have looked at this thread). Just don't dog those that are trying to make it something better.

BTW, I own a Toyota!! Actually we have 3 of them.

So do I. They help, but the issue is more the buffeting than the noise. Wind, and noise, I can handle. Buffeting gets old.

I have had mine cut and layed back for quite a while and I really like it, it cuts the wind a little but has way less turbulence

Its an expensive way to turn buffering into breeze but at least you get better lights.

If someone copied this screen and made it to suit the standard headlight they would sell them by the truckload!

I've a friend that can get it done.
Just need mold of it, in fiberglass or "Board chalk" - guess this is the correct term - I'm waiting for his availability to build a custom CF bashplate and a exhaust header cover (to avoid holes in my pants)
Cheers,
J.

If I could get hold of one of these TT screens I would make a couple up in a heart-beat!!

1 for me, the rest for anyone else who would be interested. THe only point is TT won't sell just the screen. (buggers!!!)

I've already costed it and I could have a c/f version made for around $200AUD. The lights are readily available from Hella.

I wonder how hard it would be to trim and reshape (with the help of a heatgun...) the stock screen to make a similar shape. It doesn't look terribly different from the stock screen except a little shorter and with that lip on the top. I have wondered, even separately from this pic, if putting an outward-facing lip on the top would help...
