I was up there 2 years ago, and back then you definitely couldn't get from Gnaraloo to Warroora. The gate is locked, and if they catch you trying to get through/around, they get pretty cranky. The camping at Gnaraloo is pretty basic, but great fun and the fishing is awesome. If you are planning on camping at the 3 mile campground it's worth paying the extra $4 per head to stay at the Hilton.

The track from Coral Bay up to Yardie is rough but pretty easy. You just need to get the timing correct for the Yardie creek crossing. If you have a bit of time, its good to sit at the crossing and watch people try to get through before the tide is right the way down. The track is pretty rough under the water and it can be pretty deep in places.

If you are planning on staying in Exmouth and its school holidays, make sure you book your accommodation well in advance...

What dates are you looking at going. We are thinking of heading up there again in early July in the 4WD. Going to try and see Karijini, Coral Bay and probably camp at Ningaloo Station.

A couple of weeks ago I asked at the 3 mile shop if it was possible to get access to ride north of Gnaraloo to Warroora and the answer was no.

I've only been in Carnarvon for a few months and not considered a local yet so I'll ask again later.

Off on a desert ride Kalgoorlie way this weekend but up for most weekends out Jarradale Mt Cooke way any other Sunday.

Keep an eye in this this site.

Looking at testing my bike's new additions on Sunday (I've added a safari tank, britannia fairing, and a few other bits and peices), so was wondering if anyone was keen?

I'm thinking of heading up into the hills (East of Pickering Brook) and maybe swing south (but if anyone has other idea's, I'm ).

You'll like the Brittania fairing, just did 2200km through the kimberley with mine and it survived a beating on the 400exc. Just dont mount your spot to it if you have one. The vibrations made mine play up. It worked better on the top of my tank bag. We want pics of your new set up!

Was one of the reasons I went with the Britannia, a lot of good reports. I am impressed so far myself - though haven't been off road yet, but having the HID low beam means it S%#ts all over the OEM headlight.
Oh, as for the pic's, there's nothing like a little more orange to brighten your day

We did manage to find some unsealed roads around Walpole and the GSX1400/DJP sidecar ate up the gravel - it's an absolute hoot to drive both on-road and off-road

Went out back Mt Dayle today big loop towards York and back,
Any one going out Sunday watch out for 4X4s, More out today than for the last 6 months, Must be because the tracks are hard and no dust.

Great job! Looks like it'll probably go offroad ok....... I've got the hid high (and low) beam in mine, only bad thing is it takes a while to warm up, low beam is also for right hand drive countries, lights up more of the right rather than left.

I still feel like a traitor to “Old Yella” but it’s gone to a nice farm to chase sheep for the rest of its life.
Still keen on the WR250R but I need a little excitement between now and that trip and I recon this will do it. (KTM 625 SXC)
Look forward to another run to York providing you can put up with that much orange.
