Rob has been drooling over my GT-Riders maps of Chiang Mai for weeks now and so we've finally booked and paid for the tickets. We'll arrive in Chiang Mai on Thursday 14th February, spend two weeks exploring the north west and north east of Thailand on XR'S or KLX'S or whatever Mr Mechanic can scrounge up for us, and then head back to Perth on Thursday 28th Feb

This time around I'll make sure that Rob packs (a) a jacket that actually zips up, (b) proper gloves - rather than just plastic shopping bags, and (c) a proper helmet, rather than a plastic pudding bowl. With such experiences under our belts what can possibly go wrong ???

Bully was upset I was going to miss the mankini judging in a couple of weeks so he gave me a preview wearing his new one that Ross gave him today. Pretty sexy beast isn't he?

I would like to say thanks to all the fantastic southern WA guys and gals who have helped me and made me feel so welcome. This weekend Bully had me staying again and worked on the bike with me. He and Dawn are great fun

Still feeling a bit ordinary from our masses of alcohol. Brian and Gia had us over for thanksgiving dinner. Cheers guys!
Kev supplied the fork springs and oil filter for our work yesterday and I got sprockets and chain off Simon. The bike's running just super now!
A bunch of people came over yesterday for a bbq, some faces from the rally and new ones too. I had a great time, good to see you all.
Dave Ward and Rick and Ev have had me stay with them as well, all great hosts and good fun! Plus Dennis took me on a 4wd tour and taught me some driving skills.
What an amazing bunch of people I have got to meet down here! A huge thanks to everyone.

I am headed north tomorrow but I have a sneaking suspicion I will be back, maybe even as a resident. I am especially impressed with the Albany area and all those incredible quiet beaches.
