Gday Den

I've done approx 2/3rds of it... Koolyanobbing to Hunt Range (I turned south there). I can email you a trimmed down GPX file if you want - let me know.

Navigation north east out of Koolyanobbing is not straight forward - lots of mine site and haul roads - but you'll work it out. Then later, navigation through Hunt Range might catch you. There's a rocky outcrop as you arrive and tracks lead off in every direction with none being the obvious correct one.

IIRC Rowdy1 and Stephen66 went through that area on the way to Desert Raid Neale Junction and sort of got temporarily misplaced . They found their way on to Evanston-Menzies Rd (well west of their intended path) but only after being lectured for being on a mine site.

Cheers Shane that would be great for the GPX file, what was the track conditions like (approx average speed), just wondering if we can fit it in time wise.
I will give Ross a call, but I am sure that Steve and Rowdy navigate by the stars and the location of the nearest pub and or bakery

And thats prolly how they got lost... no ref points

On my DR... easy conditions - some corrugations, some sand (not bad) and some track erosion as you pass by the hilly stuff. All-in-all, very enjoyable.

I'll do the GPX in the next coupla days.

Hey dennis

At the rocky out crop , go left cause there aint no dancing girls with sticky dates like the sign says if you go right. if memory serves well there was a lot of drillers tracks around . We found a track heading north and stayed with it, nobody was excited to see us that afternoon. Steve's probably still got the map. I'll find out.........

Thanks Bully. E09 sounds poifect. Have got a Deathwing in the shed but cant bring myself to refit it.

Going up GCR to Alice, Plenty Hwy to Birdsville, Cam Cnr, Flinders, Eucla, transcon, Kalg & home. 8000km. I've got a new D606 I'll carry for the first leg and fit it when at Alice (or maybe just buy one at Alice). It'll last the 5500kms to get me home.

Let me know if you're interested in flipping the E09 Kev. Tks.
