About 380km NJ to Laverton for fuel. When you coming through? 4 of us heading east through that section around 3 June
Cheers Rob

Almost made it Hyden today. Kulin was as close as l got.
Left just after 8am from Cnr Jarrahdale rd and SW hwy.
Started out on the track but ended up slabbing it through Jarrahdale township and out to Albany Hwy as l needed more time out looking for routes to Hyden.
Took Randell Rd, McCallum, Thompson, Barrett and then out along Young Rd.
Was slow going as l only had a paper map so it was stop start all the way out.
Once on Yougng Rd things sped up as l know the fast roads ot to Pingelly.
Lunched at the Popo food van, delicious as usual.Made it to Kulin by 3pm.Now this is where the fun started. I wired up my old etrex this morning and had all the route mapped out to follow home.
3pm Kulin, 4pm Pingelly , that was a blast. Tenere loved it , spent most of the time well into 3 figures.
Getting dark so had to cut straight across along Pikes Rd and slabed it back to PK.
650km door to door.
Met Dan from Narrogin out on his DR. Nice guy.

we softcocked it and trailered the bikes to Guzzi's, by the time we got dressed and waited for the King of Bling to have his 10th fag for the morning it was 8.56, I went a different way to the servo, so didn't pass you, Guzzi said that he waved to you.

the day was shithouse, no dust, tracks were slippery, the downhills and hillclimbs were too easy and the wildlife all stayed away.........but did find some new to me tracks that I'll definately do again.

Thanks all.

FFS don't smooth out the throttle.
Thats why you buy a 990 isn't it?

solving the problems of the world

A good day out with no embarrasing moments or ego damage, and found some new pasture to boot.

Joel I thought you'd sold up and bought a GSXR , lifes a bitch when it keeps getting in the way, next thing you know you'll have kids racing MX and you'll be going to all those tracks that you used to ride before.

You still persisting with GSA's , got rid of mine and got a few skinny bikes, but still have the GSX14 and the R100PD.

Problem with working away is that your time home is prescious and all too short.

HAha..
Bully last 2 bikes were GSXR 1000..
one a superbike other just a road bike, bought the GSA TO SLOW ME DOWN A BIT..That worked fine until it was cartwheeling beside me at the back of northbridge, bloody round abouts!!!!!
So i am still struggling with the GSA, hope a 21" front wheel, new tripple clamp and wilbers shocks will get this one behaving as required off road..
Have thought about the little bikes rode a wr250 500km single trail in 2 days last year, could not walk for a week, felt like the seat was still stuck up my arse...
Must catch up and go for a ride, and maybe a drink or 2..
That last ride looked great, i cant wait to get out with you all and wave the big bike flag on a ride, give you some reason to regret selling your gs..lol
With the big bike its all about momentum, Like watch the f...k out im coming through style..250kg on gravel down hills is always exciting.

Hey where is that hill? Rode down it with 2 other guys when I first moved over here, but be danged if I have found it since. Never had no GPS back then so I couldn't retrace my trail.
