It's a blue 2009 model. Only things on it that could help identify it are renthal handlebars and an orange kouba lowering link fitted. The sticker on the right hand side of the tank was bubbling unlike the left hand side. Everything else on it was stock.

Thanks:-)

Does anyone know where I might find a beak for a 1150GS in Perth.
Preferably a damaged one because it will be cheap, or free.

spot on Joel, I've pulled the sidecar off the Paris Dakar and going to fit it up to something with a bit more power, the links are just the next step to getting it done.

Bit of a waste putting it on a TE610

Thats the place, Lots of little white Ant Hills all around the area.
Great place to visit check out the under ground coffee shop.
Did you fit new bearings before the trip as I did (with new wheels).
Are you heading north or south. The area from Woomera to the coast was great.
Kev.
What Van are you towing.

Bugrit... lets turn this into a cvan thread

2010 Retreat Hamilton, so only did the wiggle test. Turns out the bearing was OK but the prev owner musta used KY gel instead of grease cos the 'grease' had the consistency of pea n ham soup. The boys at bearing shop cleaned it up and packed it in some KTM orange coloured stuff. Gave me the leftover tube of the stuff, 'just in case' then didn't want to charge me! Refused to take some cash so I dropped back with some 6 packs for 'em to enjoy. Bloody good young blokes... not one of them out their 20's yet.

Heading north to Darwin then back down the WA coast.

Sounds good to me, Spent all last weekend looking at them. Now the cook just needs to make her mind up before a new bike arrives instead.

I run an inverter off the solar system - for the electric blanket - keeps SWMBO happy
