Nice video clip from your day out, quite a variety of terrain there. Some great puddles and looks like some hills too. Is that a gopro cam? I'm buying one off my mate this week and can't wait to use it.

Just back in Perth from Myanmar so I've missed 4 weekends of dirt fun, tried to rent a bike over there but they're illegal in Yangon city limits, country side use only! Only military and cops allowed to ride them in town.

Competitor dies in off-road rally across regional WA

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-09-2...532?section=wa

A competitor in an off-road rally across regional Western Australia has died after an accident near Carnarvon.

Organisers for the 2013 Australasian Safari say the accident occurred at about 9:30 am, east of Minilya.

The male bike rider died at the scene as a result of their injuries.

The event involves off-road motorbikes, quad bikes and four wheel drives.

Local police have yet to reach the man due to the rugged and remote environment.

The remainder of today's race has been cancelled.

The event was pegged as one of the nation's toughest off-road endurance challenges.

Topics: accidents, minilya-6701

Who's out for a ride this weekend? Done some tweaks/mods on the KLR, looking forward to getting back on the dirt.

Cam, I'll be heading out Sunday after coffee with the beemers at Catalanos in Vic Park. Meeting another rider up the hill on Welshpool road at Crystal Brook BP at 9 AM.

You're welcome to join.

Well do a round somewhere close to Mt Dale out East a bit and end up close to Mundaring somewhere around 12:30 to 1 PM.

Cheers

I had a look at it some time ago, think it follows Talanalla and some of the major roads predominantly.

There are many interesting and nice roads / tracks / trails down there. Study a map of the area....go, explore.

I did that trip a few weeks back, The trip down was a bit boring, but coming back was great until you hit the mining area, its a bit hit and miss then.
At the end I just cut through the mines, up and over the haul roads etc.
Overall I enjoyed it, until I ran out of petrol. (I knew I should have filled up in Collie). Lucky the Pumpkin has reserve, and its downhill from Jarrahdale to Mundijong

If I figure out how to upload the GPX I will. - Off to read the help
