If you do head out , enjoy
Hey guys
I am keen for a ride on my husky terra and to meet some new riding buddies. Is it cool if I come next sat? What kind of ride will it be, what time and where?

Usually weekend rides get posted later on in the week, check back Thursday or Friday for time and place talk. We're a decent bunch so you might even get a refuel from a KLR ;-)

Sorry to post this here folks, did not think that it deserved it's own thread, but I think I have seen the light.
I have heard others talk about being unable to wait to get back out there on the dirt again after they have just finished a ride, well I have been out on about 5 rides in a short amount of time and had to bail on a ride on Sunday due to other committments and found myself in line at bunnings and do you know I was daydreaming about..........yes, that's right.
I was lammenting about not being able to make the ride, and thinking how nice it would be right there and then to be out in the sticks, standing up on the pegs and just enjoying the ride and the company of like minded people.

Well, a big thank you to the people I have already met from here, I think I am hooked
Anyhoo, hoping to see some posts up later in the week for some rides on the weekend, well Saturday anyway (Sundays out for me this week )

That's enough of my dribble and thread hijacking, carry on !

well the readers ride down at Staino's was unreal, all up 4 inmates, 2 Volts, Revsinc, Bullyjnr and myself, 26 riders all together, we rode some awesome tracks down to Northcliffe and back, with a trip out to the dunes thrown in for good measure.

Several crashes ( only 1 low speed slide for me ) , many trees down , so lots of manhandling of bikes. watching "Mr Motocross "ride was fantastic, he is still smooth as silk, never sits down and the bike is not revving hard, still got the skills and an all round great bloke, so approachable.

I'll put up some photo's tonight.

Jeez Dave l thought you'd gone and bought a road bike or something so you could devote the mighty green KLR to fun stuff.
You have my number or if you don't just yell over the back fence and l should here you. I'm free Saturday so we can head out early for a soft ride. See how the week pans out.

Ha, I wish I could go get a road bike for work and leave the tractor for the dirt, but alas finances tell me otherwise (read: wife and kids and dentists !!!) Have actually been thinking about it more and more and have approached the minister of war and finances and will look at it early in the new year.

Will do mate.

What about that blue and white FJ1200 on Safety Bay Rd? $3000.
If it's still there then offer 2k.

Surprised no one has set fire to it actually. That's the norm for around here.
There was a burnt to the crisp bike on the side of the road last week.

If that was the one near the roundabout on Read, not only burnt to a crisp, but a stolen burnt to the crisp special !

Do what I did Dave. Tell the war office you are buying another bike, and will sell the original one later. Then forget to sell the original.

Worked for me

Trailzone readers ride

This was run by John and Georgina Staines down at Westcoast Trailbike Safaris alongside Clubby from Trailzone Magazine and with "Mr Motocross "himself Stephen Gall

An Awesome weekend with 26 bikes over some mind blowing tracks, a 450 was the bike that I would have loved to be riding, but alas my son was on the Husky 510 whilst I slummed it on the Husky 610. huge variation in machinery from 250's, 300 2 smokers to the biggest , A KTM 690.

here's some snaps from the ride, Saturday was pretty wet so the camera didn't come out much, Sunday I was hurting, not sure if it was from the riding or being 1st in the bar and last out, after busting out a few tunes on the Kareoke at 12.30.

here's something you don't see very often, Gally blasting up the dune, then doing this on the top, he was bloody quick picking it up before Clubby got a shot.

A great weekend with some bloody good riders.
