Hi, new poster here... my name is Mike.
I am keen to get my experience up with offroad riding, need bike time to develop the proper instincts.
The clincher is, I don't have the offroad bike... yet. No space in the garage because my housemate owns too many kayaks.

I have been riding on-road for ~3yrs, off-road I've done two single-day tours with West Coast Safaris out of Donnybrook, loved every minute of 'em.
Fell off 4 times on the first one, only once on the 2nd. I feel that is a decent improvement, assisted by me deciding that yes, I am still way too green to try going fast.

So I guess this is a bit of a plea: on the off-chance there might be someone in Perth with a 'spare' bike and the inclination to show me the ropes a little.
I can pay in beer or other preferred currency; if I hurt your bike, I will pay for any damage.

Hey guys I hate to admit it but Saturday morning went on a ride with some friends of mine who all have BIG road bikes but have also gone out and picked themselves some postie bikes.

Tell you what they went and explored some of the tracks off Canning rd through to Mt Dale and beyond, I was most surprised at some of the tracks that bring you out from Dale rd through to Ashendon and then back down to Resovoir rd there is a hell of a lot of tracks to be explored right on our doorstep.

Actually stopped for smoko at a camping area on the Carinya cycle circuit, if you were setting yourself up for overnight trips this would be a good spot for a shake down night to test your gear.

These riders are all getting ready for a trip on the Golden Quest in June and some are actually doing a supprted run up through Docker River in October.

Thats the one! takes you down into a glorious valley with some awsome looking hill climbs that looking at my maps will take you out of the valleys and over towards Mundaring ( if you can get over the dam tributaries). Open for a Sunday explore to check it out any takers for next Sunday morning???
