My heater is 250,000 btu.
![]() I have 2 7500 w (?) electric heaters that will just HOLD the temp, not really warm it up. If I plan on working a long time, i plug them in, warm it up with the propane, and have the electrics going constantly. Problem with the electric is it is DANG spendy to run them for any length of time, and i cant run anything else electric in my garage with both heaters going... Maybe i should invest in some insulation?

Staple this stuff up on your walls and ceiling. Helps out alot in summer and winter.
http://www.lowes.com/pd_409815-56291...ion&facetInfo= It's EASY to install, cheap, and brightens up the shop, too. |

Thankfully, no snow yet. The tracks are from the rain.

Yeah, they don't want some guy's wife to sue them after his stupid ass died when he was using that in his garage.

I posted this in the WTF thread, but wonder if anyone in this thread has done this?
although I've seen airplane hangers like this, the cars were unanticipated

I need a bigger garage. And more organized. And to not be such a slob.
It's a one car garage, and a small one at that. I have 2 big bikes, (FZ1 & CBR) in there, a new Husky dirt bike and I just bought another bike to modify (Ninja 650). Lots of tools, tons of parts. I have a 20" powermatic drill press, 13x40 lathe, Lincoln TIG welder, hydraulic tubing bender etc. I would have a lot more stuff if I had the space as it is I can barely wiggle my way around bikes to get at things. This winter with the new project I am taking two of the big bikes down to a friends house to store for the winter. Here's my plywood and steel bike lift ![]() Another shot about 10' further back ![]() Lathe ![]() ![]()

I can think of several families where the wife would tear up the instruction manual before giving that heater to hubby as a "gift."
