Moving on

Lessee, where was I?

Floor and foundation are in, framing begins. The guys move fast. Note that a lot of the original studs have been removed, and all that remain have been reinforced to varying degrees. The building had its legs cut of to pour the new foundation.

And now we have this -

The brick was used to build a nice extension from the existing brick walk to the man-gate where the trash and recycling reside in the alley -

^^^ Your project is proof that its better to have a structure that needs work , rather than not have one at all .

Dude, that's my wife you're calling creepy! She's from Louisiana and casts a mean spell, so watch it.

She is a project manager for a company that does commercial finish out, so she drew the plans and helped me spec the work.

She used to do the same thing for a company that specialized in funeral homes. She's got some creepy stories.

So Ms Beast Rider says "We have to talk" !

This was an ominous statement. My response was.....about what?

She said.....we have too many bikes and can't get the cars in the garage nor can we store our other machines such as the lawn tractor, snow blower, DR Field, weed wackers, chain saws, etc. She went on to say that something HAS to change!

There were a number of options that would solve this problem, one of which was not good!

So here is the story.......and the eventual solution.

Here is the garage.....only one bike on that side.....whats the problem?

I guess the problem is the other side......of which 2 of the bikes are Ms Beast Riders.........by the way....those are NOT curtains, they are large shop rags

Here is the left side......................

OK....here is the first part of the solution.......build a new 26x26 garage......

Lots of room........with shelves, racks , etc........lot's of room for Ms Beast Riders golf shoes....

Ahhhhh.....but what about the snow blower, garden tractor, etc.....no problem....

a new 12 by 24 shed.........

holds everything.....with room to spare....

Where there is a will....there is a way.....,

I installed a floor drain in the shop area before we poured the floor. Floor drains are ok by code here except that they must drain out in the open or be vented where ever they end up so gas or oil fumes can not build up. I do not plan on ever pouring gas down my floor drain so I didn't vent it.

What might get poured into the ground?
