Have friends in the Black Forest. Apparently still nice. Word back when was that the Springs was a big town with a small town attitude. Apparent in local politics as well as the Man-on-the-street view. Unknown if that has changed. I was tied to the college and the old north end, so a bit of an enclave. In later years I was in the social work and homeless scene. Lot of good people doing good work. The usual nuts.

I miss the Gold Camp road and a bazillion turnoffs to go shooting.

Unfortunately, I'd say that this is still accurate, and it retards growth here.

I've lived here for twenty years this July (downtown and west side), and it's always been nice. The only negatives I hear are from people who don't live here, especially people from Boulder and Ft. Collins. It's a shame how people have let politics become so divisive. All of Colorado is nice as far as I'm concerned.

I'd say it's still accurate too, and it's something that a lot of us like about this town.

I'm hoping this is okay to do. I've seen others do it (and I know that doesn't mean its okay, but I hope so...) I posted the following in the general flea market under parts, but figured if anyone in Utah is interested, I'd be happy to meet you locally or bring it with me next weekend (the weekend of the 15th) when I head up north to the SLC area for a quick trip to attend a wedding...

It's hard to find a value on the engine as the highs and lows on Ebay, Craigslist, and Land Rover forums fluctuate a good amount. I feel I priced the engine fairly but if you believe otherwise, please let me know and I'll reassess my asking price.

When the D110 was wrecked, there was 140,000 miles on it. This was not a conversion, this D110 was a diesel truck it's whole life.

This engine comes with the clutch, flywheel, starter air filter housing, injection pump, injectors, turbocharger, alternator, and other misc. items, and all front ancillaries attached.

There was minimal oil seepage on this engine.

The 300TDI specs are:

111 hp @ 4,250 rpm
195 lbf·ft @ 1,800 rpm
Engine dry weight - 450lbs.

$2,250.00 OBO

WTT 1973 MGB project

I recently rescued a 1973 MGB from a 10 year rest in soneones side yard. I love these old cars and have had more than a dozen over the years. I'd rather have another motorcycle project and want to trade for one. I like old airheads, hondas, but am open to almost anything.. including handguns.

If I don't have any interest I'm going to start parting the pieces I don't want and building a windowless, speedster with the mg as soon as I return home from my latest job.

Let me know.. right now the car is 98% complete and stock... ready to go.. good title, good compression, cleaned carbs.. come make it your own.

In reference to post 11591 : I was born in Colorado . All of Colorado was nice at one time . People started moving in and that growth brought problems . Issues have been this way for a couple hundred years.
We could solve a lot of the problem if everyone that has moved here since 1960 moved back to where they came from .
We do have a couple of enclaves ,where there are some real winers that want to take our guns away from us , but overall I welcome the diversity that all you people looking for a better life have brought the state .
If you don't like it here , you could move back to where you came from .
I can't move back . I just have to put up with you people , it is my home .

I remember the "don't Californicate Colorado" bumper stickers. People moved here because The East Coast really sucked and the West Coast was getting that way. I think the people that are unhappy should throw the so-called "natives" out so we can bitch in peace.
