Dirt-capable scooters?
Does anyone know of any Scooters with off road capabilities?
If so, please help us identify them. Best regards, Mike Lynch |

Depends on how much dirt, you can throw some dirt capable tires on the Big Ruckus (or little Ruckus) and it can handle pretty well down dirt roads and gravel roads, but I wouldn't want to take it too deep into the woods.
Most other scooters have alot of body paneling that would get damaged with a bit of off-roading. |

I vote for the Sach Madass 2sp auto scooter, with DS or Knobby tires.
Honda 50 skid plates could even work on it.

Vespa ran the Paris-Dakar and finished in 1980. There are some good pictures on this page: http://www.dakardantan.com/forum/ftopic389.html.
The point is, you could make any scooter dirt capable. It just depends on how far you want to go with it and how much time and money you have to spend. Probably all of the upgrades would require you to do the majority of the work. That Sachs Madass is pretty sweet. Would be a good starting point. |
