This is still the 2nd most viewed post of 2008 and thanks to all that have visited!

Keep it rollin'!

**Original Post - March 18, 2007**

I'm starting this thread in connection with this original post. The other thread was getting sort of long...and mostly about a Middle Sound location.

Let's start hearing from you all regarding a North Sound spot.

"Springs" you might want to start you coordination efforts in this thread regarding Engle's Pub. I think you did a pretty damn good sales job regarding Engle's at the gathering on Saturday - should we try and meet on some upcoming Thursday?

Let it rip!

That Eagles idea sounds fantastic, but is Edmonds really "north" these days?

You're all South to me. There was some activity at the Longhorn in Edison not too long ago, maybe try to start that up again?

That's a nice spot, but why not just go the whole hog and hit Bob's Burgers in Fairhaven, Bellingham? Great burgers and beer and, better yet, it's at the end of Chuckanut Drive.

Seriously though, I've stopped at the Longhorn lots of times, it's a great location if you're riding north snohomish/south skagit county roads and has pretty decent hot wings, to boot.

I searched for Longhorn in Edison but didn't find it. Is it it still there?

Or, did you mean Longbranch Saloon in Mt. Vernon at 100 S Barker Street?

I've never been to either so I have no point of reference.

Thanks for tossing out an idea!

Ok I'm gonna get it planned

I'll get a date set up for a meet at Engles Pub in Edmonds. I will get togeather with the owner Skip Churchill and pick a good night most likely a Thursday. I'll get it all organized and get it posted and we can check it out and see how it fits!
I had a great time meeting everyone on Saturday at Redhook and looking forward to many more of these.
Stay tuned and I will get it handled!

Again our thanks to GSHighlander for the first one and getting this whole idea off the ground!

We'll get several of these places set up I'm sure and should prove to be a awesome season!
My hats off to the gang from Spanaway for trecking through the rain to meet up with us yesterday at Redhook!!

They're weird like that.

GSHighlander: thx for the organization, making it a two-day deal, and for just being cool.

and FWIW, GSHighlander isn't paying squat next time this group hooks up.

I'd vote for Chuck's Seafood Grotto or one of the pubs/coffee roasters in downtown Snohomish.

Bump

Hey Springs, let me know if you need anything at all in setting up the Engle's Pub meet-and-greet ("MAG")!

I'll be glad to pitch in!

Never been there but should we consider Bobby's Hawaiian Style as a MAG candidate?

I lived in Hawaii for a while and love that island cookin'!

Roger that!

Bobby's Hawaiian Style is just like being there, I lived and fished out of Kona for Ahi for a couple years, I really miss the food too!

I'll have something on the "MAG" for Engles pretty quickly maybe even today sometime!
Is Thursday the best day? Sunday, Monday and Tuesday are also avaiable days for us!
Stand by!!

Hey Springs:

I'm thinking that Thursday is probably the best of the days available. Go for it!

Thanks again for getting it teed up!

We'll definitely have to hit Bobby's some time. I actually graduated from UH and the PNW chapter of the UH Alumni Association has held meetings at Bobby's...now I wish I would have attended! A little TMI but I do love that cookin'!
