Let's go Campin !

Everyone welcome for our first campout extravaganza of the year.

Plans are to leave from Seattle friday April 6th sometime around 5 oclock.

We will be heading to Longview Wa, via the Vader cutoff by the Cowlitz River. Past Castle Rock out the West side Hwy, then catching the Ocean Beach Hwy, to Skamokawa, past Cathlamet.
There is the game refuge on the way to explore and then we are camping at Vista Park. Right on the Columbia River ship channel and an awesome view of Astoria.
There is the Duck Inn Bar next to the park and great place for breakfast.

Sat morning we are heading for Grayland next to Westport and camping on my property. Leaving Sun morning thru Aberdeen and home.
We have a firepit there and deck for hanging.

Everyone interested is welcome to partake of all or part of the ride.

Come one Come all.

I'm going to call Vista Park tomorrow. I have stayed there many times. It's a great place. They have tent sites right on the water #7. They also have covered tables in a few sites. There is a huge Gazebo in the grassy area that has tables and if it were raining would be fine. Firewood might be an issue I will ask about that when I call. There is lots of beachwood this time of year before summer so should be suitable.
The Duck Inn restaurant is good food and within walking distance is you want to drink.
My place has bathroom and water and firepit. Room for several tents. Again if it rains we can hang inside.
So kinda luxury camping Austin compared to our Olympic trip. But oh yes we will gourmet.

P.S. My place is 3 blocks from the beach so within walking distance.
Any questions just PM me. Looks like 4 in so far.

Tentative plan is to leave Seattle around 5 oclock. There is a rest area just beyond Little Rock/Maytown exit on I 5. We would arrive there around 6:15 and wait a while for any southenders to catch up.
Still puts us at Vista Park around 8 oclock dusk. But the Gazebo down there is nice and big. So shouldn't be much of an issue setting up. Haven't checked the moon yet but pretty bright down there at the mouth of the Columbia.
So that's all I know for now.
Any Idea's

Where were you when we rode the beach in Grayland last month?

I don't think I can pull this one off, Easter weekend and all, plus that's the weekend of the Bunny BBQ
