My Algerian Ride

Hi guys, here below some of the pictures I have take during my trip in Algeria at the end of last March.
As Dario1 we were riding EXC525 on pistas going from Djanet to Tamanrasset. 1000 km and 9 days of great fun, challenging rides, amazing landescape, camping and good friends.
We were 10 of us, one Toyota 4X4 (600.000 km on the clock and still running! ) and one old fashion Fiat Iveco 4x4 carring food, lugagge, water and fuel of course!
Algerian Desert as been a nice surprise, much different compare to Tunisian and Morroco's one where I've been before. Is much more various and basiclly rocky (in the south) with some ergs of dunes and sand here and there!
We have been to Algeri for a short tour and was very upsetting earing aboute bombs soon after we left

If anyone wish gdb files I'll be please to share it.

Is everything working all right?

Before leaving

First camp and dunes

Astounding account. Beautiful scenery, but I don't think I could ride a bike there.

Ciao Nicola,

amazing pics !
It's nice to see the same route on a different perspective .
I don't recognize the place where you are attempting to climb that crazy dune. Is it in the far south of the route?
I'm asking as we had to cut a part in the south (after Oufiakit camp)
due to our extreme delay caused by Giancarlo's accident.
I've seen you have tried that incredible hill climb near Anhef mountain camp.
During our trip, we saw Frodo go up to the hill by himself, but he didn't encourage anybody to follow him. Probably he was quite pissed off for the situation and i had the feeling he pushed to reach Djanet as soon as possible.
How was the climb? Was it difficult or manageable? I'm corious
As far as the bikes, i had one of the 400's and i agree that in some of the plateau a bigger bike could have been more suitable.
Looking forward to see the rest of your pics...
Dario
