KLR650 2011 exhaust budget mod!!!
Read some stuff about a mod for standard muffler, it involved making a mandrel and using a holesaw , about 2'' to cut out the small pipe, did that, next step was to twist the end baffle out. THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE. I then used a smaller diameter hole saw and cut again removing a large washer shape. So original pipe is still there. What i'm saying is2011 on mufflers are of different construction to foil this kind of tampering. I got it done but a lot of trial and error. alot of time too, and the need for some specialed cutting gear. my advice; buy a a/m one.

The KLR exhaust mod attempts never cease to amaze me.
I have a 2009, and I am fine enough with it sounding like a constipated lawn tractor. Soon as you go with aftermarket exhaust, you have to mess with jets n shit. Not worth it IMO. At least until someone shows me an affordable alternative that does not sound too loud or look like shit or cost more than a couple hundred bucks.
Yes, I am "KLR cheap" and a member of the milk-crate-mafia.
If a guy has the tweety bird thing going on, then I understand the need to uhh, hammer n shit on it.
This posted more for entertainment, the guy kinda funny
