I was watching a Mets/Cards game this week and saw this on their caps. I think they have the same patch on their shoulder.
I don't recall any other team doing this in the past. Maybe I've missed it. Seems a little "in your face" for most ball players. Wonder how long they'll keep it on before they remove it. They're 0-3, may be sooner than later...

So far, so good for The Kid. Five Ks, one hit, no runs, ten in a row retired through four innings.

Is it too early to start worrying about Varitek and Crisp? Two automatic outs in the lower third of the order isn't going to fly anywhere in the American League, let alone the Eastern Division.

Hey now,
Let's get one thing perfect clear. With the exception of Fairfield county Connecticut is ok. (barely) All the communities from New Haven south to the NY line are now the Long Island of New England and as far as I am concerned they should just start calling themselves New Yorkers. ![]() You can thank Greenwich, Ct. for the McMansion. My grandmother passed away a two years ago and her estate was recently settled. The house they had for over 40 years sold for four fucking million dollars. 24 hours after closing the demolition started. When my father sold his house and fled to Vermont Hanna Storm and her husband bought his old place. The first thing they did was erect an 8' high iron bar fence around the entire property in a neighborhood where nobody's burglar alarm has ever sounded in anger. Hell they probably tore the house down by now which would be a shame, it was modest and shared a lot of traits that K-Basa's place has but compared to a McM is was a shitbox if impressing the Khans is your thing. - Rob Nye Fairfield County refugee |
