Tyre pressures
What is everyone thoughts re: tyre pressures. Do you change pressures for different terrains, or set and forget? I normally run in the mid/high 30ies, but have been down to 10 front/8 rear in the sand which worked well with the big bike.
Thoughts? |

Front and rear about 15PSI without any bags Front and rear about 22 to 24 PSI fully loaded Set and forget unless it is really greasy then drop a few PSI's out.

Coming to Tassie soon...
Hi guys,
I'm going on 10 day trip by Britz campervan to Tassie. 16th Jan arrive in Hobart, leave 26th. It is just me and my wife, who is battling serious illnes, chemo, radiation and all that shit. We are both outdoors types, if she was better we'd do some serious wilderness hiking staying in huts etc, but unfortunately we need to take easy now. So I would like to get some suggestions about some nice places to visit. Not much into crowds or shopping, nice and quiet. There's lot of stuff on the Web, but I guess nothing beats the local knowledge. I was thinking about sneaking one day in and hire a bike, but I go biking every weekend, so perhaps I should give it a miss this time and spend as much time as possible together. Thanks in advance.

Weekend
Roll on next Weekend, lookout west coast we will be there.
Thank the gods for the old Cargo Net that I always carry to secure the odd slab of grog to the back seat of the Stallion. Top Box Mount broke this morning while playing in the Long Hill Plantation on the way to work but warranty will cover a new mounting brackets.

Borradaile Plains
I left Sheffield with Jake this morning and headed up through West Kentish, Roland, Staverton, Cethana, over Mount Claude to the Borradaile Plains
The views were excellent and the riding was great We explored numerous side tracks of the Borradaile Plains Road and decided that we would have to come back before Christmas and camp Saturday Night and explore more There are tracks everywhere and you could spend days exploring, some don't go far but it's still riding The Borradaile Plains is situated on the watershed between the Mersey and Forth Rivers The Forth River starts in Cradle Mountain Lake St Claire National Park under Mount Pelion West and part of Mount Ossa (highest mountain in Tasmania) The Mersey River starts in the Walls of Jerusalem National Park from Lake Meston It was a 110 kilometre ride http://eagledream.wix.com/stelvio-ow...ssie/apps/blog

What time and where from are you heading off from? Taking the morning off to go for a ride so thought I might tag along for a bit if that's ok.
