A group of us went thru Sunday morning on the way back from Corinna with bingo fuel. The local fuel shop owner is trying to limit everyone to $20 only - even applies to the local residents! Very rude to boot.

From a fuel perspective that was about 13 litres which will well and truly put you in range of more fuel, at Zeehan, Burnie, Smithon etc. On my KLR that is about 220 kms so just do your fuel planning.

Don't let that put you off Waratah though great little place good food & coffee at the cafe next to the pub and a lot of mining history & fantastic riding - road, dual sport & trails.

And we thought they we're just your average Taswegian "characters".

They make top drinks and some very mean home-made cakes. Had to drag Suse away from the cakes.

Suse & me spent quite some time there, bantering with 'em & watching the circus.

Very entertaining.

:-) dq.

I don't think the couple I saw that had tried to fill up their motor home thought it was very funny nor the other locals who were worried about the flow on effect to their businesses either, the riders had been warned about it at Corinna so the word soon gets around. Nothing "character" about being rude and providing bad services, doesn't do our reputation as a tourist destination any good either.

Great week-end ride. Growelly's video really captures the multiple landscapes we went thru. Saturday night at Corrina was hilarious. Thanks Callum for the "fun" night .

Waratah fuel lady, simply rude. Must be effecting local tourism trade. As Stephen mentioned simply get your $20 worth of fuel and ride up to the cafe next to the pub. Great service and food.

Until next time..........

Excellent Windy Rider! Loved the photo presentation. Was a fabulous weekend. Especially the second half. It was a hoot.

Recon Id have to put the XRR on a diet to do that one, or at least dump all the gear. One day.

You Southerners should have stuck around to explore the true Tarkine instead of tar riding and if you all want sand next time I'll give you sand, mud and much more.
We had a great camp spot on Saturday Night at Rapid River and not a sole camper at the Milkshake Hills Reserve on Sunday morning. Great ride back through Rabalga to West Takone and each day just became better as we explored different areas. Heading back soon to explore more in the Hamshire, Loongana and Belvoir Road Area, plus some specy views of the surrounding mountains. Huge amounts of gravel and dirt tracks here
Have fun and keep the shiny side up, see you all next time on the track

Was a long ride home Sunday. Just had a look at the Loongara area on Google Earth. There sure are a lot of interesting roads/trails in that area. Must get back up there and have a good look around.
Cheers

Let me know when you all want to have a gander in the Belvoir Road area and I will organise a ride here. Would need to be a three dayer, there are heaps of great camp spots and more to find.
What program do you edit your video with Greg?
