Death VAlley Days

Hi all 1st post. We did a two up trip from Phoenix to DV. About 1600 mile trip. We planned to camp but a call from the Nat Park Service stating our camp site #28 fyi, was flooded and it was raining hard fri. am when we left, changed our minds to go with hard billets. The Longstree Inn and Casino did fine. Fri. it rained on an off on the trip up, we took the southern route to avoid snow storms in Flagstaff area. Several roads in the valley were closed and snow was plentiful in the passes but Sat was clear and cold but beautiful none the less as we made an west to east run to Furnace Creek, Stovepipe, over to Panamint Sprs, then south to Badwater and loop out the south way back to Amargosa Valley. Sunday we headed back to the Creek for gas then on to Scotty's Castle very interesting to say the least. Then headed south and wound up in Pahrump for the night..really cold after dark..Monday took 93 back to Phx... Great ride. V strom did great two up.. PS we used our new Cardo Scala wirless intercom for the 1st time, we both used seperate ipods for music and could talk easily at 75-80mph...
