The Helmut cam is worn by a 650 klr rider but there should be 2 950's in there.

A nobby Vs a paddle in the sand dunes is like, a street slick Vs a nobby in the dirt.

Just kidding. I dont know what the Sahara is like (maybe some day), but I imagine there are sections of hard pack and sections of sand, and sections of DUNES. A paddle tire is only usefull in sand-DUNE applications (or hill climb event). In other words, it is a tire built for a specific purpose (screw'n off) and would not be good for any type of travel'n. Have a gooood trip, LUCKY.

You know your sand dunes. I took the "Bone" road from Soda Spr. to Idaho Falls to get there. That was a fun route.![]()

video cheat
You can see a very brief clip of my 950....
Have a look at 'Long Way Round', Ewan MacGregor and Charlie Boormans' epic serialised adventure ride. Just before they get told thay can't have KTMs for free and Charlie gets a childish strop on, they take a couple of KTMs for a test ride. The 950 you see them falling of is now mine (only one careful owner, full service history etc - the KTM UK factory demonstrator might not have been the bargain it looked!)
