Busy year for ADV bikes: Yam, Tri,... Honda?

Obviously, we all know the Yamaha is here for the US market.
We also know that Triumph has a pair of 800s for us.

But, there's also a lot of traffic going on with Honda. There's the French motostation stuff:

But check out Canada's Honda site. There's a big shindig going on about the current Varadero model, too.

If a bike is quietly dying, it'll be in one color with little fanfare (i.e. FZ1). If a quietly dying bike is about to be reborn, it follows that money would get spent on it, like a high budget contest?

Just guessing here...

Are you high, French, or both? Keep guessing until you're blue in the face regarding new Honda ADV bikes. That ponderous V4 powered bike is maybe a Multistrada pretender... if it ever makes it into production. Welcome to the forum noob. Fill out your profile.

Moto-station says that their sources tell them that Honda will unveil the replacement for the Varadero in late 2010 or early 2011, which will have the same V4 engine as the VFR.

As for the fanfare on the Honda Canada website for the Varadero, it's because the bike ain't selling, because initially Honda priced it too high, plus it's an aging bike.. so they had this contest and picked 8 riders to fly to Peru and ride a Varadero there.

They were blowing out the leftover 08's for $10500, when they were listing them for $14000 and change in 08.

Honda's entry will undoubtedly be a XR 650 with bold new graphics.
