Good stuff mate - very jealous!
I've got a handheld UHF you're welcome to use, but it's only a 2 watt. You'd be better off with a 5 watt unit if you can get one.

Hello!

I boy I train with told me that in Sellicks Hill opposite of the mine on Old Sellicks Hill RD you`ve got a quite a big area with 4wd tracks etc. where you can ride! Anybody heard about it and if yes is it true?

Cause the way he presented it I couldn`t quite get if

you can ride and its legal
you can ride and nobody cares
you can ride but you have to make sure nobody sees you
you can ride but the cops/owners will shoot on sight and you get burried in the mine

Ive started to call up to rent a SatPhone which costs like $20/day :( however I think if I cant get a higher watt unit I might also borrow your UHF (My theory is the UHF will be great for a broadcast to the immediate area if required)

Oh and you dont need to be jealous, just get 2 weeks of work and join :P

yeah been good.... almost need a new chain... and the scorpions i put on at the start of the trip 'might' get me home

got to perth and had the 20k service, be due for the 30k when i hit ADL..

No. Haven't felt inspired enough yet. Just got back from a 5 day fossil hunting ride as well and that one may never see the light of day either.

I wish! Am going to have to settle for a few days off in November and hopefully head up to the Flinders (or anywhere, for that matter!)

Once we settle on a date I'll post it here in case you or others want to join in.

Re the UHF, no problems. Just let me know in time to get it to you.

Sorry for the last minute 'n all that.
Was planning on a bit of a looksee down South....possibly Deep Creek area....for tomorrow with a mate but he's just had to pull the pin due to family commitment.
Was planning to leave home (Glenelg) around 10am.
Might still head out so if anyone's got nothing planned for tomorrow you're welcome to tag along.
